Cohesity AWS2019 Interview Brenden Walsh, SVP, Partner Relations at 1901 Group

1901 Group Reduces Costs by 35% and Sees 115x Deduplication and Compression with Cohesity

Many federal agencies turn to 1901 Group to deliver a modern data management environment, with options for data archive in the cloud. Before offering Cohesity to its clients, 1901 Group was looking for a solution to solve its own internal data management, with the near-term plan to offer enterprise backup services that meet strict regulatory and security requirements, including FedRAMP government cloud certification.

“Cohesity gives us the ability to easily predict cost, and deliver tremendous performance for our customers when they move from an appliance-based model to clouds such as AWS GovCloud. Cohesity also helps optimize capacity with outstanding deduplication and compression across tenants. These benefits will continue to drive our Enterprise-Backup-as-a-Service offering for our clients, and enable us to easily expand our client portfolio to meet federal customer requirements.”

– Brendan Walsh, SVP, Partner Relations at 1901 Group

Some of the favorite features of the Cohesity solution Brendan discusses that come into play are the ease of use encryption, deduplication, and compression – all are ideal for manage service providers to scale incrementally.
