Cloud Computing Drivers: Business and Technical

There are several drivers that lead government customers to explore the cloud. Most of these drivers can be grouped into two categories: business and technical drivers.

Business Drivers
From a business perspective, government customers are responding to mandates to close their data centers and use cloud services. They are also seeking new ways to manage their annual budget shifting from a CapEx model to an OpEx model for infrastructure refresh.

Technical Drivers
The technical drivers include activities such as replacement of aging and unsupported hardware; modernization of mission applications to meet new requirements and reduce costs; leveraging cloud-native services; and establishing a security framework to address vulnerabilities in the infrastructure environment.

1901 Group’s Approach
Understanding these needs, our approach allows customers to operate and manage their missions from a service consumption approach, providing the flexibility and budget to consume infrastructure services as they need them, and when they need them.
