New Phase for Research

The Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center (CRC) in Blacksburg expects to open the first building of its second phase in 2012. The 95-acre second phase is underway to support over 140 tenants employing more than 2,200 people. True to form, the CRC had no trouble finding tenants for the second phase. 1901 Group LLC will occupy nearly 11,000 square feet of the first new structure when it is ready in June or July. The CRC and 1901 Group decided together to rename the address from 1801 Innovation Drive to 1901 in honor of 1901 Group’s residence in the new building.
