Sonu Singh
Recognizing that the delivery of information is currently undergoing a dramatic transformation, Sonu started 1901 Group to close the cost-to-value gap on IT infrastructure by applying proven manufacturing principles to the next generation of IT service management. Having built and sold two IT services companies within the past 10 years, Sonu is utilizing industry practices and principles to execute 1901 Group’s corporate vision of building service operations centers or IT factories in rural communities with strong university systems. Having grown up in Blacksburg, Virginia, and having graduated from Virginia Tech, Sonu’s personal passion and professional goal is creating sustainable, high-quality technology jobs in rural America.
Darwin Herdman
A well-known and respected expert in the field of IT security, Darwin Herdman has been at the forefront of architecting Unified Communications (UC) solutions in many large commercial, educational, and government enterprises for over 15 years. Darwin is a principal and CTO of 1901 Group and previously held executive positions at Compucom as well as other leading managed service providers.
Darwin brings extensive operational experience to 1901 Group having built success support teams and operations centers around the world. He is considered a leading expert on adapting Lean Six methods and technologies to address the challenges of today’s corporate infrastructure. Darwin has strong leadership skills and is one of the unique breed who can explain the complex optics of infrastructure in the boardroom.
Steve Lynott
As a pioneer in strategic planning, process re-engineering, and IT planning processes, Steve is a natural fit as principal and chief marketer at 1901 Group. His penchant for technology usability and web-based collaborative technologies has been the basis for several successful business ventures with his latest company, Touchstone, which was sold to SRA in January of 2005. Steve agrees that routine business productivity tools will soon be universally delivered from the ‘cloud’ and that substantial competitive advantage will go to those organizations who adopt the new consumption models sooner than later.
Brendan Walsh
Anticipating the global wave of ‘cloud-based’ communication and mobile-device adoption, Brendan joined 1901 Group to help government customers leverage the next generation of IT service management. Brendan brings to the team over 18 years of public sector sales, marketing, and program management experience that includes co-founding the innovative FedBid.com, the leading online marketplace for public-sector commodity buys. As a proud Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket alum and ACC fan, Brendan shares that focused energy and a passion for innovation are the core elements of any success.
Lisa Goldschmidt
Prior to joining 1901 Group, Lisa worked in the consulting business for nearly 15 years. She focused on the federal civilian and defense sectors where she helped her customers improve operational performance through the implementation of enterprise systems and improved business processes. She has led projects at large and small federal agencies and now looks forward to providing world-class IT services to 1901 Group customers.
Manh Phung
Manh comes to 1901 Group with over 13 years of operational experience in network security and managed services. He has been responsible for managing 24/7 network security operations for both the Air Force (609th Information Warfare Squadron and the Defense Information Systems Agency) and the commercial sector. His focus is on developing energetic teams by promoting communication, collaboration, and attention to detail with processes and procedures that allow for consistent and effective service delivery. He is excited to be driving world-class IT services focused on solving 1901 Group customers’ challenges.
